From the viewpoint of the City of Culture, created by the sculptor Manolo Paz, visitors to Compostela can enjoy one of the best panoramic views of the capital, where the Cathedral and Mount Pedroso stand out. Also, if we look to the left, we can spot a building completed in 2021, the Intermodal Station, and very close to it the Pazo del Hórreo building, the home of the Galician Parliament, and the trees of the Alameda Park. To the right we can see the straight line that joins the Arch of Mazarelos with the Collegiate Church of Santa María La Real del Sar, Rúa Castrón Douro and, at the foot of it, the Convent of the Mercedarias. Not far from there, you can see the terraces of the Faculty of Geography and History, the Monastery of San Martín Pinario and the Colegio Mayor San Agustín. Further away from the historic centre, from what would be the perimeter of the disappeared medieval wall, stands the Minor Seminary of the Assumption on the hill of Belvís, the Convent of Santa Clara in the northern part of the city and, between the two, the Bonaval Park, the former site of the convent of San Domingos de Bonaval, recovered in the mid-1990s and designed by the Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza.
